Letters Sounds Introduced: We are working on letter recognition with introduction to sounds. We will work more on letter sounds later on.
With the ability to recognize the letters and identify the sounds associated with these letters - the students have begun blending these sounds to make words. With this new skill and their recognition of our sight words, we have also begun reading/making simple sentences.
Examples:
Sam, Tam, am, at, sat, mats, map, Pam.
Sam is little.
Am I Sam?
The mat is red.
Tam is at the mat.We have a little map.
The map is little.
